So I’ve got something here for you guys from an up and coming Boston producer who calls himself BLVCK. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that he picked a Zomboy track for his latest and greatest remix, but believe us when we say BLVCK knows how to bring the bass. This track doesn’t get too heavy, so if you’re not a filth kind of person, don’t be immediately deterred. Yet, the track still lies in the “dirty” range most likely, with plenty of wobbles to satisfy any basshead. Get those speakers blastin’!

When I wrote the genres in the brackets for this post, it took me a while to decide how I should classify these three new tracks . Local Philly producer The Noise Monkey caught our attention a while ago with his unique sound he simply calls “Monkeystep”, and with every new track he puts out he touches so many different sounds and styles, I think the name is very fitting. The first song is his entry into Zomboy‘s “Here to Stay” remix contest, and if you are diggin’ that Monkeystep, be sure you give this Philly native a vote starting April 9! The other two songs are both refreshing and uplifting, yet still have that perfect amount of funk and filth. They were posted as FREE downloads that seem to be sparked by the cold weather and the anticipation of spring, and they sure are getting me excited for the coming months! Also, we’ve included The Noise Monkey’s recent remix of Au5, Auratic, and I.Y.F.F.E.‘s “Lucky”, which is sure to satisfy any craving for funk you may have had! Now sit back and enjoy these great tunes to keep getting more pumped for FESTIVAL SEASON!!

Zomboy‘s always crushing it, whether its behind the turntables or behind the production software. His last release was The Dead Symphonic EP before he came rampaging through SoundGarden Hall to bring in one epic Halloween for Philly. Now the UK producer and Never Say Die Records artist is back with a new single, featuring the vocals of Lady Chann, titled “Here to Stay”. It’s an upbeat, heavy-hitting moombahcore track, chocked full of that grimey Zomboy bass we all know and love. Enjoy!

Tom Budin

Tom Budin is a name I was not familiar with until today, but boy am I glad that has changed! This 17 year old producer from Sydney, Australia has loads of talent, and has left me completely stunned with this live mash-up he posted yesterday of two songs by heavyweight producers Knife Party and Zomboy! I’m not usually one to compare artists, but when bringing up a young artist, I can’t help but compare it to Madeon’s “Pop Culture”. I do, however, think this video blows the other OUT OF THE WATER! I really am so impressed with the skills in beat matching and mixing in this video that it is nearly impossible for me to think of anything else to say, so you will all have to see for yourself. Crank up those speakers and get ready to be blown away!

I hope you all are as excited as we are for all this filth that’s been dropping today! We got one more EP for you guys today, and this one comes from UK producer Zomboy, and it’s called The Dead Symphonic EP. Zomboy has always been a person of interest for us at Funkadelphia, and after listening to this new EP you’ll know why. Each track has that signature Zomboy style, but he aslo explores different genres such as Drum and Bass and Electro, while dipping into some new sounds as well. It’s so hard to pick any favorites off this one because each song rages just as hard as the last, so I suggest you turn up those speakers and see for yourself!

Never Say Die has undoubtedly recruited itself quite the assembly of grime-delivering dubstep artists. Among their impressive roster is Zomboy, the talented UK producer behind that filthy “Bass Cannon” remix we all know. Well, his new full release, the Dead Symphonic EP is due to drop September 3rd. It’s going to feature 6 brand new tracks, including this one: “Vancouver Beatdown”. Like I said, Zomboy has absolutely been tearing the roof down with his songs lately, and this new track fits the description perfectly. Turn those speakers up, crank the sub and get down!

Here’s two names I’ve come to associate with extreme filth: SKisM and Zomboy. I’ve heard a lot from both these guys, and seen live mixes from both of them. If we could get them here in Philadelphia (which we’re trying to do) it would be an absolute throw down. I actually saw a video of Zomboy dropping this remix at a show a couple weeks ago and immediately thought “damn, when’re they gonna release that track?”. Well, it’s here now, and the mastered version is even better. Enjoy!
