Drop Goblin – The Gate EP [Dubstep//Moombahcore]

Drop Goblin - The Gate EP

It’s been a while since we’ve had something new to share with you guys from Northeast producer Drop Goblin, but this new release is sure to satisfy your bass craving. Drop Goblin has been our radar for quite some time now and it’s great to see him starting to get some serious recognition. The Gate EP was released through Ultragore Records, who have housed plenty of releases from many of our favorite filthy artists, including J.Rabbit, Mantis and plenty more. The album’ demonstrates strong influences from dubstep, moombahcore, and yes, metal. Enough’s been said; get those speakers turned up and the music blastin’!

TC – “New Style (Dirt Monkey Remix)” (FREE DL!!) [Moombahton//Trap]

New Style (Dirt Monkey Remix)

Dirt Monkey has always been one of my favorite bass producers from the Midwest. He’s absurdly diverse; when I first found him I knew him for his filthy dubstep, but I soon grow to know him as a producer of moombahcore, electro house, drumstep, and just about any other heavy bass genre. He’s certainly proved himself amongst the bass community, having released several works through Play Me Too Records. But today the Colorado producer has something really new and joyfully dancey for you guys. This tune starts of with some bumpin’ moombahton, but I have to think the track really hits its stride around 2:25 when the trap bass comes in. But I’ll let you guys decide for yourself; this tune’s an insane one. And don’t forget to take advantage of that FREE download!

Alvin Risk – “Skyclad” [Dubstep//Moombahcore]

Alvin Risk - Skyclad

Alvin Risk never disappoints. And his versatility is undeniable, having played all up and down the bass music spectrum from dubstep, to moombahton, to heavy moombahcore, some electro house and pretty much anything else you can name in the range. Of course, I’m most partial to his dubstep stuff, which is why this new track, “Skyclad” is an absolute delight. Anything OWSLA Records serves up seems to have a really dark and evil feel to it, something Alvin carries through on his tracks really well. It’s definitely seen on his face-melting remix of “Eyes”, but this track has that same dark sinister stomach-twisting feel before it launches a wall of gut-wrenching bass turbulence at you. Head over to iTunes to scoop this one up right away!

Zomboy (feat. Lady Chann) – “Here to Stay” [Dubstep//Moombahcore]

Zomboy - Here to Stay

Zomboy‘s always crushing it, whether its behind the turntables or behind the production software. His last release was The Dead Symphonic EP before he came rampaging through SoundGarden Hall to bring in one epic Halloween for Philly. Now the UK producer and Never Say Die Records artist is back with a new single, featuring the vocals of Lady Chann, titled “Here to Stay”. It’s an upbeat, heavy-hitting moombahcore track, chocked full of that grimey Zomboy bass we all know and love. Enjoy!

Rico Tubbs & Will Power – Temple of Doom EP [Moombahton//Trap]

Rico Tubbs & Will Power - Temple of Doom EP

Definitely one of the mightiest labels out their, DOOM Musicbrainchild of Figure- just put out their latest release. It’s a three track EP featuring both Rico Tubbs and Will Power. All three tracks experiment with mixing and crossing over between the moombahton and trap genres. Although, as you would most likely expect from a monstrous label such as DOOM Music, the bass on this release is nice and dirty; putting these tracks more in the “moombahcore” category than straight moombahton. Nonetheless, I’m loving this whole thing, and you guys will too; get to it!!

Sander Van Doorn – “Chasin’ (Dubsef Remix)” (FREE DL!) [Moombahton]

Dubsef just served this one up for us and I knew I had to share it as soon as I clicked the play button. Now, I feel like Dubsef is a basshead at heart just like we are; but even the biggest basshead knows it’s good to give other things a listen sometimes. So he  melted the speakers with a wild moombahton track this time around. I have personally been really loving this one, and been rocking it all day! Then again, I’m always a sucker for a good old, dirty moombah track. I dare say this may be among Dubsef’s finest work so far. Enjoy!

No Doubt – “Settle Down (Baauer Remix) + BONUS REMIX! [Trap//Bass]

Baauer has become an unstoppable force in the trap game. After releasing “Harlem Shake” earlier this Summer, and “My Nose” last, the NY producer’s tracks start popping up in a lot of mixes. It wasn’t long before he signed on with MadDecentand well, here we are now. Now we’ve been slacking a bit this week, so this track’s a couple days old. But, if for some reason you missed it, we want to make sure you don’t make that same mistake again. Baauer’s remix of No Doubt‘s track, “Settle Down”, might be my favorite of his tracks thus far. Not only that,  but I think it rivals- if not beats- the Major Lazer remix of the same song (which we’ve included as a BONUS!). Enjoy!

[BONUS!]

So as we mentioned, Major Lazer also did their own remix of this track. Now, it would seem Thomas Pentz had a bit of a different idea than Baauer for the direction he wanted to take this track in (as producers so often do). Nonetheless, this remix is also an extreme killer and I apologize for not posting it as soon as it went out. So if you missed it… well… don’t! :D

Jack Beats (feat. Dillon Francis) – “Epidemic” + FULL NEW CARELESS EP from JACK BEATS [Moombahton//Moombahcore]

This is a combination I really wasn’t expecting to see: Jack Beats and Dillon Francis. But let me tell you what, I love both these guys as producers, and together they are something else. I don’t think anyone can pump out filthy moombahton the way Dillon Francis does, and Jack Beats has always had one of the most original electro sounds in the game. On this new track, “Epidemic”, the London duo’s influence shows through on the first drop with a very crunchy sound, while it would seem Dillon is probably more responsible for that lovely synth line in the background and probably a good amount of the filth that drops in later. If you like it, which of course you will, be sure to head over to Beatport to show these guys your support!!

P.S. This is just one of 7 BRAND NEW tracks from Jack Beats on their new Careless EP, which was released TODAY!!

Labrinth – “Last Time (Knife Party Remix)”

New Knife Party and new Skream within 10 minutes of each other?! It must be our lucky day. I guess this will serve the purpose of balancing out with that Skream track; take on the lighter side of dubstep, and now we can observe the darker/heavier side. This new track from Knife Party sticks true to their dubstep/moombahcore sound, with those little “bleep-bloops” (or whatever you want to call them) intermixed with the wobbles in the drop. This is a group that is really starting to make some noise in the electronic community, and I can’t wait for the opportunity to see them.

Dillion Francis – Something, Something Awesome EP

Not too long ago we posted the preview to Dillon Francis’Something, Something Awesome EP. Well today is the release day, and after some apparent technical difficulties with Beatport, the DJ has got his new EP up for sale. I’m not the biggest moombah fan, and I tend to prefer Dillon Francis’ dubstep trakcs, but hey, this stuff is real fun to bounce to live and can absolutely get behind it. And Dillon Francis is really one of the few moombahton musicians I can dig. So for those of you who do enjoy these funky sounds, you’re in for a treat.
