Drop Goblin – The Gate EP [Dubstep//Moombahcore]

Drop Goblin - The Gate EP

It’s been a while since we’ve had something new to share with you guys from Northeast producer Drop Goblin, but this new release is sure to satisfy your bass craving. Drop Goblin has been our radar for quite some time now and it’s great to see him starting to get some serious recognition. The Gate EP was released through Ultragore Records, who have housed plenty of releases from many of our favorite filthy artists, including J.Rabbit, Mantis and plenty more. The album’ demonstrates strong influences from dubstep, moombahcore, and yes, metal. Enough’s been said; get those speakers turned up and the music blastin’!

The Noise Monkey – “Festival Season Mix 2013″ (FREE DL!!) [Dubstep//Bass]

The Noise Monkey

Let’s keep it going with some more local music, this one, a mix from Philadelphia DJ and producer The Noise Monkey. As well all know, festival season is on the horizon- it’s even already started for some of us- and with that in mind, I think we could all always use a good mix of bumpin’ tunes to get our excitement pumping. The Noise Monkey has a really unique sound to his bass music; he keeps it nice and filthy, but has a lot of funky off-beat tempos, something he calls “monkeystep”. We’ve shared a couple of his tracks here before, but this mix really shows off this producer’s sound and his exemplary mixing skills too. Plus it’s all yours totally FREE through his Soundcloud! Enjoy!

Architekt - Death Gong Mix

The holidays are here and I couldn’t be more excited about this beautiful Saturday that awaits us. But it’s always good to get your day kicking. So while you’re sparking that first bowl, or joint, or whatever else you got there, be sure to crank up this mix for some bass goodness. Philadelphia producer and DJ, Architekt has been on his game lately, and this mix is a true testament to that. He slams disgusting track into disgusting track, with plenty of your favorite filthy bass tunes, as well as a few surprises and, of course, plenty of personal production. Enjoy!

Alvin Risk – “Skyclad” [Dubstep//Moombahcore]

Alvin Risk - Skyclad

Alvin Risk never disappoints. And his versatility is undeniable, having played all up and down the bass music spectrum from dubstep, to moombahton, to heavy moombahcore, some electro house and pretty much anything else you can name in the range. Of course, I’m most partial to his dubstep stuff, which is why this new track, “Skyclad” is an absolute delight. Anything OWSLA Records serves up seems to have a really dark and evil feel to it, something Alvin carries through on his tracks really well. It’s definitely seen on his face-melting remix of “Eyes”, but this track has that same dark sinister stomach-twisting feel before it launches a wall of gut-wrenching bass turbulence at you. Head over to iTunes to scoop this one up right away!

Zomboy (feat. Lady Chann) – “Here to Stay” [Dubstep//Moombahcore]

Zomboy - Here to Stay

Zomboy‘s always crushing it, whether its behind the turntables or behind the production software. His last release was The Dead Symphonic EP before he came rampaging through SoundGarden Hall to bring in one epic Halloween for Philly. Now the UK producer and Never Say Die Records artist is back with a new single, featuring the vocals of Lady Chann, titled “Here to Stay”. It’s an upbeat, heavy-hitting moombahcore track, chocked full of that grimey Zomboy bass we all know and love. Enjoy!

Rico Tubbs & Will Power – Temple of Doom EP [Moombahton//Trap]

Rico Tubbs & Will Power - Temple of Doom EP

Definitely one of the mightiest labels out their, DOOM Musicbrainchild of Figure- just put out their latest release. It’s a three track EP featuring both Rico Tubbs and Will Power. All three tracks experiment with mixing and crossing over between the moombahton and trap genres. Although, as you would most likely expect from a monstrous label such as DOOM Music, the bass on this release is nice and dirty; putting these tracks more in the “moombahcore” category than straight moombahton. Nonetheless, I’m loving this whole thing, and you guys will too; get to it!!

Helicopter Showdown – On the Shoulders of Giants Remixed EP [Dubstep//Trap]

Heli Showdown - OTSOG Remixed

Back in the beginning of December, Helicopter Showdown released their monstrous 3-track On the Shoulders of Giants EP through Beatport. Now, a little over a month later, I’m happy to be bringing you the official remixes of the tracks from the EP. The Remix album features appearances from 5 amazing bass producers, including J. Rabbit, Dirt Monkey, Protohype, Antiserum and Diamond Pistols. Now, while all these tracks are extremely filthy for sure, they range from trap, to dubstep, to moombahcore, and just about everything in between. So come one, come all! Enjoy the dirty, dirty bass!!

Urban Assault – Turn Up the Bass EP + Bonus Remix! [Dubstep//Moombahcore]

So we’ve thrown up quite a few releases from Heavy Artillery Records in the passed few weeks, but today I’m glad to announce something really special from the Los Angeles record company. See, the owners of this amazing label, who call themselves Urban Assault (DJ Shortee and Faust when performing individually), just released their brand new Turn Up the Bass EP yesterday. Now, I’ll let you tell me: what would you expect from the owners of Heavy Artillery Recs? If you guessed unrelenting filth and total bass annihilation, then you guessed right. Enjoy!!

[BONUS!]

So, the other day we posted an artist spotlight (read the full article here) on another West Coast producer,  Phrenik, who has actually put out some material with Heavy Artillery. Well, while poking through his music, one of the tunes that really grabbed my attention was actually an Urban Assault remix of a Phrenik original called “Killah Supreme”; and oh man, this track delivers a fist full of bass. I’ll let you guys get to it!

Sum 41 – “Fat Lip (Acetronik Remix)” (FREE DL!!) [Moombahcore//Punk]

Here’s a song I’m really excited to be sharing with you all today. It combines two of my favorite things: Nostalgic punk-rock from my middle school days, and some dirty moombahcore! I’m almost certain you all have heard the original Fat Lip” by Sum 41. This remix, done by NYC-based producer Acetronik, incorporates enough of the original to spark up that bit of nostalgia, then hooks you with a great, bouncy, moombahcore beat to keep you raging to one of your favorite punk-pop classics! Turn up that bass and enjoy!

Karetos – Entrudo EP [Dubstep//Moombahcore]

Karetos very well be a name that is unfamiliar to you; I say that because until I stumbled upon this earlier today, they were completely unknown to me. Well I can’t express how happy I AM that I found this Entrudo EP from the Portuguese duo. I have been rocking all 5 of these tracks all day, and the reason is simple: it‘s completely filthy. I would have to say this is probably some of the nastiest moombahcore I’ve heard in a while. I hope to be hearing more from Karetus in the future. I don’t think I could tell you enough to give “How I Roll” a listen. Enjoy!
