Alright, so we all know this track has been done up a million different times and a million different ways. But upcoming Baltimore producer Rekoil offers a really fresh- and, of course, filthy- spin on the already bassed out track. He comes from the world of Firepower Records, so you know you can expect it to be heavy. And if you’re digging it, which I know you will, you can grab it up completely FREE! Enjoy!
Oh my… this is merciless. I mean, absolutely, totally freaking merciless. Someone get this man to Philadelphia pleeeeeease. Getter has been absolutely annihilating the heavy bass scene for some time now, having put out music with both Rottun Recordsand Firepower Records. He hails from California which probably explains his lack of representation in the Northeast. But honestly, I believe this man belongs at the very top of the charts. Absolutely flawless production, and absolutely flawless filth. This track couldn’t be better.
Here’s two names you can expect to put out some straight dirt when working together: Virus Syndicate and Document One. Document One is probably most well know for their work with Buygore Records, but however you may know them, you know these guys are relentless. And Virus Syndicate has been leaving a total path of destruction on their climb to the top. Together, it results in an insanely massive new track from these two groups. Mind-shattering bass… get ready for it.
It’s one of those yucky rainy days out, and I feel I need a lot of angry bass to help get me through. If you’re feeling the same, be sure to thrown on local spinner, DJ 2Rip‘s brand new mix and latest installation in his “Annihilating Rhythm” mix series. If you’ve ever ventured down to Baltimore or DC for a show, you’re probably familiar with 2Rip, but if not, then yes, he’s DC based; and one thing we’ve come to learn about DJs from Philly’s sister cities- Baltimore, DC, NYC- it is that they sure as heck know how to throw down. This mix is absolutely merciless (and quite Figureheavy, which is always a plus). You can grab it up completely FREE below and take it on the go too!
JUST LOOK AT ALL THOSE CAPITAL LETTERS! You just gotta know this new track from ETC!ETC! and MUST DIE! is packing some serious heat. A lot of people know ETC!ETC! from his trap and moombah work, but here he is clearing demonstrating he’s got a firm grasp on the methods for delivering some serious filth. And of course Texas producer Must Die’s influence is clear on the track; this is some seriously heavy sh*t. And just in the passed 24 hours it’s been dominating the Beatport charts, so keep it climbing!
Zomboy‘s always crushing it, whether its behind the turntables or behind the production software. His last release was The Dead Symphonic EPbefore he came rampaging through SoundGarden Hallto bring in one epic Halloween for Philly. Now the UK producer and Never Say Die Recordsartist is back with a new single, featuring the vocals of Lady Chann, titled “Here to Stay”. It’s an upbeat, heavy-hitting moombahcore track, chocked full of that grimey Zomboy bass we all know and love. Enjoy!
It seems Figure is getting back to his hip-hop love a lot lately; with a remix of a Deltron 3030track, followed by several collaborations with Delhimself, and now this brand spankin’ new remix of an Aesop Rocktrack. This one comes on smooth, with an easy kicking beat and Aesop’s rhymes flowing effortlessly on top. But of course it’s still a Figure track, so be sure to count on one hard-hitting wall of bass, some epic beat adjustment, and one overall hell of a track. FREE as always from Figure. Enjoy!
Alright we’ve got an absolutely massive release here from Firepower Records. This one comes from Dallas producer AFK, who has been rampaging his way through the scene lately. Plus the new Killionaire EP features multiple appearances from fellow Dallas producer Spenca, as well as Philadelphia based artists Messinian. With a release chocked that full of talent, how could you possibly go wrong? Well you couldn’t, and every single track on this new EP is complete fire… firepower that is. Enjoy!
Alright this one is definitely a bit late admittedly, but I still can’t deny it from seeing the light of day here on Funkadelphia because it’s simply too freaking amazing. Run DMT has been on the forefront of the bass music scene for quite sometime now; he’s a clear veteran. And he’s torn up Philadelphia at least twice now, both this year at The Blockleyand SoundGarden Hall. Over the passed month or so, the Texas producer has been releasing the tracks to his new Union of Opposites album (which you can scoop TOTALLY FREE!!) one by one through his soundcloud. And dead seriously, everytime he released a new track, it left my jaw a bit closer to the floor at the drop. This album is ABSOLUTELY KILLER!! Get at it!!
Back in the beginning of December, Helicopter Showdown released their monstrous 3-track On the Shoulders of Giants EP through Beatport. Now, a little over a month later, I’m happy to be bringing you the official remixes of the tracks from the EP. The Remix album features appearances from 5 amazing bass producers, including J. Rabbit, Dirt Monkey, Protohype, Antiserumand Diamond Pistols. Now, while all these tracks are extremely filthy for sure, they range from trap, to dubstep, to moombahcore, and just about everything in between. So come one, come all! Enjoy the dirty, dirty bass!!
