Here’s a release I have literally been on the edge of my seat waiting for, for quite some time. And oh my has Calvertron delivered, exceeding expectations and taking his bass game to a whole other level once again. With his new 50,000 Watts EP he covers everything from his classic heavy dubstep assaults, plenty of hopping moombahcore, some head-banging drumstep and drum & bass, and even some really effective trap and trapstep. Calvertron is one producer I feel I can absolutely always count on to deliver the filth. Please, I urge you, pick up this EP. Rekoil has to be one of my favorite young producers at this point in the game. He never has anything negative to say, a like a lot of the Firepower Records crew, remains pretty reserved. But when it comes to producing, he sure knows how to shatter some bass. This is his remix of “Fully Blown”, originally by Firepower head Datsik. Some of you may have already heard this track, but this is a fresh mix down from Rekoil with some better sound quality and a few adjustments. Plus it comes with a FREE download. Enjoy!

This right here, is far from your typical daily dose of bass. It’s more like a daily overdose. Now, let me say: where my metal heads at? Zardonic is an intense bass producer very realistically probably blows out a few windows in his house/apartment every time he’s working on a new track. “Intense” does not even begin to describe this track, but hey, if you like it really filthy, then you probably couldn’t be happier with this one. In announcing his new upcoming remix album, Far Beyond Bass – The Vulgar Remixes, Zardonic decided to drop a FREE new track on us to get us hyped. Well it worked.

It’s been a while since we’ve had something from Israeli producer Borgore to share with you guys. But in all seriousness, it’s been a while since he’s put something out that really brings the filth; and let’s be honest, when we look to Borgore, we’re looking for some grimey bass. So on this new track, “That Lean”, which he collaborated with Carnage on, Borgore really brings the heat. It’s a sneak peek of what’s to come on his newest EP, so let’s keep our fingers crossed the whole release is as relentless as this track!!

It’s been a bit since we’ve brought you guys something new from Texas producers HULK too. So tonight I’ve got something for you guys we can all be proud of. It’s the dubstep duo’s remix of Getter‘s track “Fallout”. As if Getter hadn’t put enough heat on this track already, HULK went ahead and turnt the bass level up about another ten notches or so. This track absolutely murders, and to give it away for FREE is a darn blessing. Get those speakers cranking!

Here is a song I was kinda nervous about seeing posted on April Fool’s day, but after listening all the way through I can assure you that this is no joke! We have been waiting for this remix for quite some time now, and this Funkadelphia favorite, FIGURE, has outdone himself yet again. The Indiana producer has always kept me impressed with his ability to touch on (and absolutely destroy!!) a wide range of genres, many times even accomplishing this in a single track. He does it again, but this time he brings trap into the game. With tags on his soundcloud such as “trap”, “nottrap” and “imgoingtotagtrapsoitgetsmorehits”, it’s obvious that he has not jumped aboard the “trap train”, but rather can appeal to the masses while staying true to himself and giving the fans what we love: that signature filthy FIGURE drumstep sound. Now crank up those speakers and get ready to hear one of the dirtiest trap/drumstep tunes of 2013!

When talking about drumstep, it’s tough not to bring up Datsik‘s Firepower Records, and for good reason. In the last two months they have spoiling us with an onslaught of filth with EPs from Datsik and AFK, and a full album from Getter, and it still continues to get better! Today, LA producer Protohype released his newest EP, See No Evil EP, and it is absolutely relentless! With collaborations with artists such as Getter, ETC!ETC!, Init, and Kezwik, its no surprise that this EP covers such a range of styles, from heavy drumstep to some moombah/trap, while still maintaining that disgusting filth we all enjoy so much! Now turn up those speakers and get ready to be taken over yet again by Firepower Records!

Time to turn up the heat a little bit. Greek dubstep production powerhouse D-Jahsta just dropped his brand new Rotten EP today through Beatport and it couldn’t be more satisfying. D-Jahsta’s music is complex, dark, original and unmatched; his style has yet to be mimicked and he continues to update and refresh it. The EP features appearances from some other really impressive characters as well, including Cyperoptics, Barron and 12Gauge. Be careful turning this one on, you might not be able to stay away.
