When talking about drumstep, it’s tough not to bring up Datsik‘s Firepower Records, and for good reason. In the last two months they have spoiling us with an onslaught of filth with EPs from Datsik and AFK, and a full album from Getter, and it still continues to get better! Today, LA producer Protohype released his newest EP, See No Evil EP, and it is absolutely relentless! With collaborations with artists such as Getter, ETC!ETC!, Init, and Kezwik, its no surprise that this EP covers such a range of styles, from heavy drumstep to some moombah/trap, while still maintaining that disgusting filth we all enjoy so much! Now turn up those speakers and get ready to be taken over yet again by Firepower Records!

JUST LOOK AT ALL THOSE CAPITAL LETTERS! You just gotta know this new track from ETC!ETC! and MUST DIE! is packing some serious heat. A lot of people know ETC!ETC! from his trap and moombah work, but here he is clearing demonstrating he’s got a firm grasp on the methods for delivering some serious filth. And of course Texas producer Must Die’s influence is clear on the track; this is some seriously heavy sh*t. And just in the passed 24 hours it’s been dominating the Beatport charts, so keep it climbing!

Admittedly, we’ve been experiencing some internet technical difficulties here today; but it’s still technically Mix Monday, and this is a mix that absolutely can’t be ignored, so let’s get to it. Along with announcing a new tour (after literally just finishing up his Brain Waves Tour), which he’s calling Adventures In Time and Space- see Full Tour Dates Here!- the drumstep bass destroyer from Indiana known as Figure released a promo mix to go along with the tour. It clocks in at just over 20 minutes, but man did Figure cram a lot in here: there’s 5 new original tracks, a remix of his track “Must Destroy” from Droptek, plenty of the classics and a couple dashes of other tracks to keep it all fresh. Even nicer is you can download the entire mix completely FREE!! Mark your calendars people, because FIGURE’s coming to town!!

The Fall lineup for shows here in Philadelphia is already stacked up with loads of huge name DJs, including Datsik, Borgore, Flosstradamus, Rusko and more!! But this Saturday, we have the opportunity to see two guys that don’t make it to the City of Brotherly Love nearly as much as I’d like them to. Local producer and DJ, Dubsef is hosting his second Glow Jam party at The Blockley this Saturday!! The party features performances by Dubsef himself, several other local favorite, and guest DJs Run DMT (Austin, TX) and ETC!ETC!. If you don’t know one, or either of these guys, here’s what to expect: some extreme filth from master of dirty bass, Run DMT and some nasty, head-boppin’ trap from ETC!ETC!. You’re not ready!
