Looking over the site today I noticed there was something we forgot to post, but I simply cannot pass up the opportunity to post. It’s the newest release from live electronic dubstep/drumstep trio Destroid. The trio is officially composed of Excision,Downlink and drummer KJ Sawka, but this track also features an appearance from producer Space Laces (who actually had a remix on Excision’s X-Rated: The Remixesalbum). It’s hard to imagine how powerful a sound you would get when you combine the immense production power of Excision and Downlink, and then throw in the element of a live drummer, but “Wasteland” is truly the result and, oh, is it magnificent. Bass attack!!
You know what time it is: FIGURE time. Time to turn those speakers the f*** up; and time to get the f*** down. Seriously, I challenge anyone to coment a Figure song that isn’t good. Every thing the Indiana native touches is pure gold- and by “pure gold”, I really mean a relentless filthy bass attack. Plus, as many of you know, Figure’s always droppin’ his stuff for FREE, and this one’s no exception. So you really have no excuse. Enjoy!!
I feel like Daedulus shouldn’t really need to much of an introduction; but in case you’re unfamiliar, the California producer has been turning heads with his beat production for years now, as well as being a steady contributor to the Ninja Tunelabel. Just today his newest release, the Looking Ocean EP, was released – totally FREE mind you! – through Scion A/V. It’s chocked full of new dowtempo and minimal rhythms sure to satisfy the musical soul. Enjoy!!
I know we are really dropping a lot of stuff on you guys today, but can you really complain about too much good music? Someone our frequent visitors should be very familiar with by now, D!RTY AUD!O, has been killin’ it with his moombah and trap lately, and today he just dropped this MASSIVE new trap mixtape on us! As usual, the bass bumps hard, and the synth work is incredible. In addition to this awesome 4 track mixtape, we’re including 2 bonus trap tunes from the LA producer: one remix, and one original that always gets me pumped when I hear it dropped at shows. Turn up those speakers and enjoy all 6 of these great trap tunes, absolutely FREE!
Unfortunately we are having some technical problems and can’t embed the player for the mixtape, but you can stream it and pick up the free download here! from clubtapes.com
The first I heard of Apashewas that dirty trap tune “Bubble Gun” he put down with SNAILS. Needless to say, I was hooked. So when I saw that the Canadian producer had a track with Dabin on his new Awakening EP, I knew I had to check it out. The track is absolutely relentless, and so is this entire release. If you didn’t know Dabin’s name before now, I’m sure it’ll stick in your memory. Enjoy!
I don’t think I’ve ever quite seen someone throw down at The Blockley as hard as Run DMT did. He’s been a commanding name in the bass game for some time now, so it was a real treat to see the Texas producer in action. Today we’re here to talk about a different cause though. With the East Coast still pretty shook up from Hurricane Sandy, Run DMT put together this new trap track, which is now available on his Soundcloud, with all benefits going to hurricane relief efforts. It’s a part of Macro Records’Relief compilation album, released through Beatport to aid those in need. So, enjoy the tune, and support your fellow man!
Over the passed couple years, we’ve seen the bass music genre cover just about every BPM and beat-style imaginable; from the throw-down slow beats of dubstep, to the fast-paced headbanging drum&bass and drumstep, to everything in between, including moombahcore and electro house. But with the recent influx of trap, a lot of artists are beginning to experiment with breakbeat rhythms, resulting in heavy bass glitch-hop a lot of the time. My own personal thoughts on this? It’s freaking amazing!! AntiTrash Jack just released his new The Regency EP through trusted name, Heavy Artillery Records, and it features a couple really great examples of this new trend. Enjoy!!
The latest track from his newest release, “Days to Come” by Seven Lions has been receiving a lot of attention lately; and it’s not hard to see why. For a while now the up and coming California producer has been making noise with his melodic bass sound. So it wasn’t a huge surprise when the track was selected for a Beatport remix contest. I’ve chosen two remixes to share with you guys that I’ve really been enjoying. The first comes from two local producers, Jack Deezl and Architekt, the two came together for a colossal collab; and the second comes from California producer Singularity who made possibly an even more ear-pleasing melodic masterpiece than the original. Both of these are guaranteed to leave a grin on your face and your eardrums satisfied.
Dirtyphonics is back at it with a brand new bass-shaking tune. Always showing off some genre flexibility, the French duo has put together a smooth electro track for us this time. Of course, everyone’s still in the holiday mood too, so you can rest assured that you can snag this one up FREE below! Turn those speakers up and get this one knocking.
Last year on the X Tour, Excision unleashed a hellish new stage setup and, more importantly, a ground-shaking 100,000 watt Pk sound system, with enough bass to shatter your ear drums. Now, after a slew of new releases, including his X-Rated: Remixesalbum, the Canadian destroyer of worlds is rounding up the troops to set off on tour again in the Winter/Spring of 2013. Along with him on tour, Excision will be bringing the mighty Paper Diamondand Vaski. We’ve witnessed both of these producers in action, Paper Diamond a few times, and Vaski just this Summer at the Big Dub Festival, where he headlined; and I can tell you right now, they both get the Funkadelphia stamp of approval. Of course we all know to expect mind-melting filth from Excision, but be sure to prepare yourselves for some incredible opening talent as well. It’s all going down here in Philadelphia on Saturday, March 16th; although, the location has yet to be announced. Prepare yourselves!!
