MartyParty – “Hood Shaker” (FREE DL!) [Trap//Glitch-Hop]

MartyParty is back on his trap game yet again. He’s been do the snare rattling for quite some time now, and with intermittent explorations into other genres, the New York producer has been coming out with some really nice sounds lately. His last trap tune, “Bling Bling”, already had us going, and then he dropped another FREE new one on us this morning. This one’s called “Hood Shaker”, and while it keeps with the trap rhythms, it’s also got a really deep, bass glitch-hop feel to it as well. Definitely another solid track from MartyParty. Enjoy!

KOAN Sound – “The Adventures of Mr. Fox EP” Preview (FULL ALBUM NOW AVAILABLE TO STREAM!!) [Dubstep//Glitch]

If you’re like us, you are probably just itching for the release of the new KOAN Sound material. Their The Adventures of Mr. Fox EP is slated for a September 4th release on OWSLA. But just like you and I, apparently the British production duo were unable to hold in their excitement, because they’ve now posted 3 previews for new songs, all to be featured on the new EP: “80′s Fitness”, “Sly Fox” and “Eastern Thug”. I’m not sure if these tracks comprise the full release, or if there are more to come. But for now, just enjoy these!

And if you enjoy the EP thus far, be sure to pick it up when it drops on their Beatport Tuesday, September 4th!

So GRiZ is now just 5 days away from the official release of his newest full-length album, Mad Liberation. I guess he’s starting to get just as antsy as we are, because last night, he released a new single from the upcoming album called “Smash the Funk”. Now of course, he hooked it up for you guys FOR FREE as always! I think we’ve all come to love GRiZ for his funky, glitched-out twist on traditional dubstep, and this track exemplifies those skills in flying colors. Enjoy!

Circa Survive – Violent Waves [Indie Rock//Alternative]

Possibly one of the most prominent independent Philadelphia-based bands at this point in time, is Circa Survive. The band, fronted from Doylestown native Anthony Green, just yesterday released their brand new (and fourth overall) full-length album, Violent Waves. This band was a big part of my life growing up, and it’s been great to see them grow and develop as a group over the years as well. Their sound continues to stay loyal to itself, while still also evolving from album to album. It is for this reason, that’s it’s really difficult for me to pick a favorite release from this band in particular. But know that Violent Waves is just as effective, if not moreso, than Circa Survive’s previous albums. BARE is probably the most recognizable name on Subhuman Records (except for maybe Dieselboy himself). So when I hopped on my computer this morning and saw he had released his new Altitude EP today COMPLETELY FREE, you can imagine the excitement that took a hold of me. I cranked up the speakers, turned up the sub, and a couple seconds later, BARE was rattling my walls. And definitely a big thanks to Scion A/V for sponsoring and releasing all these free EPs- including the 12th Planet The End Is Near! EP, Skream & Benga’s self-titled EP, Trolley Snatcha‘s new, also self-titled, EP and Flinch‘s Underwater EP!

So I guess a friend of mine was digging through Karetus‘ Soundcloud today, because he sent over this insane remix that they posted quite some time ago. But that doesn’t take away from that fact that this tune is absolutely filthy. Karetus never fails to disappoint (we also just recently shared their new Entrudo EP), and this track is an exceptional example of their ability. It’s all yours for FREE below too!

Savoy – Supertrail EP (7 FREE DLs!) [Electro House//Dubstep]

We’re moving a bit slow here today at Funkadelphia, but nonetheless, we’ve got plenty of filthy tunes to bring you before we kick the bucket tonight. First off, Savoy released their new Supertrail EP today, which is absolutely huge news! The Brooklyn producer/drummer duo has been ripping it up for years now, with filthy tracks like “I’m In Need”, “We Are the Sun” and “DIY”. The two take on anything from electro house, to dubstep and plenty in between, resulting in a unique sound that they’ve definitively claimed as their own. Their new EP features tracks of all styles, including some groovy ones, and, of course, some grimy ones (and yes, an extremely filthy trapstep track). The really great news is it’s 7 tracks, and they’re ALL FREE!! Enjoy!

I’ve been following Nostalgia for quite some time now; ever since his remix of Muse‘s track “Knights of Cydonia” (which we’ve included as a FREE bonus!) Then, back in January, we posted his monstrous Outlaster EP, featuring the track of the same name. So it’s been a while since we featured something from the Minnesota-based producer; but it’s never been a better time. If there’s one thing I could say about Funtcase, it’s that this guy doesn’t mess around. Circus Records has built itself one of the most reputable names in dubstep, featuring artists like Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, Cookie Monsta, Brown & Gammon, and, of course, Funtcase. Well the label’s, and Funtcase’s own individual, latest release is his new Doomed EP, which just dropped this morning. All I can really say about it is: as filthy as you probably think it’s going to be, it’s like 10X filthier than that. Be sure to pick it up on Beatport and support Funtcase!

Ascendance is a Philadelphia producer who has been making quite a bit of noise lately. And rightfully so; I saw this guy tear it up just a couple weeks ago, melting the speakers at The Note. But Andrew Hoffman can sure deliver when in the studio as well. This new track, “Survive” has been taking over the internet the past couple days.
